As a Tax Accountant for the Finance team located in Belcamp, MD, you will support business that secures the digital lives of millions of people. A week in the life of a Tax Accountant You will review and prepare U.S. federal, state, and Canadian corporate income tax returns in a timely and accurate manner You will calculate and file quarterly tax estimates and extension payments You will support the close process and other general accounting functions including account analysis, reconciliation, the generation and posting of entries in the ERP system You will assist with tax provision calculations You will document and monitor internal tax controls You will assist the Sr. Tax Manager in daily corporate tax functions such as addressing notices, handling tax payments and mailings, and communicating with other business associates You will maintain tax records and respond to data requests of external advisors. You will develop and streamline procedures and worksheets. You will handle audits, by providing information and defending the Companys tax position Knowledge, Skills and Experience To succeed at this job, you must have strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. You must have the ability to perform under tight deadlines and with minimal supervision. You must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. You must have the ability to occasionally travel to other office locations. It would be preferred if you have a CPA or seeking CPA certification, along with Big Four or a mix of public and industry experience. You must be fluent in English. We would like someone to join our team who is resourceful, highly proficient with Microsoft software programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. You must have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related business school degree. We are looking for someone with 1-4 years of experience in tax accounting, has experience with fixed asset systems, such as Sage FAS, has experience with income tax software, such as OneSource or GoSystem Tax RS, and has experience with ERP systems, such as HFM, Oracle, or SAP.
