Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographic time zones. The country employs a global operating model to maximize efficiencies across time zones and supports a 24/7 operations.
Reporting to the Director of Entitlements, Malaysia, you lead a team to ensure accurate and efficient processing of all Entitlements and Tax Operations events. The role will also oversee the management of operational risk, financial control and the development of the team's capabilities to optimize operational efficiency.
You will be supporting the Europeregion with working hours between 3:00pm and 12:00am.

You will be supporting the Europeregion with working hours between 3:00pm and 12:00am.
What will you do?
- Facilitate and Implement a transformational plan for Tax Operations with a view to decrease operational risk and increase the client experience
- Conduct research into operational processes, analyzing technical requirements to increase efficiency and control
- Review research into global tax market reclaim changes and operationalize those processes with a risk based approach.
- Build superior working relationships with global sub-custodians and local tax offices to increase the speed and effectiveness of both the Tax Reclaim and Tax Relief at sources processes
- Ensure quality of service is delivered is in line with SLA's in place and superior quality, timeliness and cost effective of information delivery to internal and external clients.
- Ensure optimal use of financial/people resources to manage volumes, changes in practice or product development including development and implementation of metrics, KPI's and capacity modeling.
- Ensure errors and omissions are maintained at an absolute minimum, or where occurring are not repetitive in nature as part of managing key risk indicators.
- Maintenance of satisfactory internal and external Audit/Regulatory/Risk Ratings and Reviews.
- Maintain checks and balances to ensure that all procedures and control functions are adequate to minimize financial loss to RBC I&TS and its clients.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Post-secondary education or equivalent qualifications in any field
- Knowledge of Tax Operations around Tax Reclaims and Relief at Source Processes
- 4-7 years' experience in managing and coaching small teams of operations professionals
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with strong fluency in English
- Proven record of operational transformation and process improvement expertise
Nice-to-have
- Process Optimisation Qualifications ie 6 - Sigma, Kaizen, DMAIC
- Understand of IT Language and Data Visualization Skills, ie VBA, Python, Tableau
- IAQ, FCA or MBA qualifications
