KPMG in Jamaica is seeking to hire talented, highly motivated Tax Managers to join our growing tax practice in Jamaica.
Working closely with the Tax Partner, Directors and Senior Managers, and liaising with Audit and Advisory Partners in the delivery of integrated services, the Tax Manager shares responsibility for administration of the Tax Practice including day-to-day management of engagement risks, quality assurance of tax returns, managing tax reviews of audit files, advising clients on tax compliance issues, keeping abreast of changes in tax law and precedent, and liaising with tax authorities on behalf of clients. The Tax Manager also participates in tax planning and corporate and deal structuring engagements. Opportunities for cross-border work within the KPMG network may also arise from time to time.
Successful candidates will possess:
* appropriate professional accounting qualification. Specialist tax training would be an added advantage;
* minimum six or more years experience in tax services at a senior level, with either the Revenue authorities or a Tax Services practice;
* in-depth knowledge of Jamaican and/or UK tax legislation;
* ability to manage day-to-day tax engagements and ensure the requisite level of documentation;
* computer literacy and strong analytical and communication skills;
* strong desire to learn new skills and pass on knowledge to others in the team; and
* excellent human relation skills and ability to relate well with people at all levels as a member of a team and/or as a team leader.
