Responsibilities:

  • Managing client expectations and delivery of core GMS services to expatriate employees of corporate clients, including day-to-day management of the client relationship
  • Assisting in transitioning Top Priority Accounts
  • Advising on technical cross border individual tax and social security implications
  • Identifying and providing guidance on cross border payroll compliance matters
  • Reviewing tax technical and equalization positions for international assignees
  • Work with the team on proposals and develop business opportunities Financial and risk management
  • Co-ordinate special projects (e.g. seminar or training for clients) and work with partners on expatriate program proposal/business opportunities
  • Review and analyze tax and accounting information on employee remuneration
  • Manage client fee arrangement
  • Conduct periodic client meetings
  • Review complex tax returns with multiple investments from various tax regimes
  • Mentor and coach staff
  • Review advice performed by staff
  • Assist in managing resource allocation, workflow and resource utilization
  • Assist partner on delivery of expatriate tax, employment tax and executive remuneration advisory projects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and targets
  • Provide written correspondence on a wide range of individual tax issues impacting a company’s expatriate employees
  • Conduct tax research relating to HR issues
  • Review correspondence with regulatory agencies, particularly the Indonesian Tax Authorities
  • Conduct meetings with expatriate taxpayer on individual taxation as well as gathering the required data to complete their returns
  • Assisting in conducting IES training sessions
  • Staying abreast of human resource/remunerations program development in Indonesia and abroad
  • Identifying potential clients and following through
  • Providing coaching and (on the job) training to junior staff members
  • Assisting in the preparation of publications and articles
  • Willing to travel for clients’ engagements for overseas trainings
  • Demonstrate business and commercial acumen
  • Open minded; seeking out new insight and perspectives; develop new ideas
  • Able to demonstrate professional expertise in all aspect of work

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 8 years or more of experience in expatriate or individual tax
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Good attention to detail, well-organized with ability to meet multiple deadlines and work under pressure
  • Ability to appropriately supervise and mentor more junior colleagues if relevant
  • Degree holder from a respected academic institution and/or with a professional tax/accounting qualification; MBA is an advantage
  • Strong commitment to customer service
  • Preferably hold a tax consultant license’Extensive experience in dispute resolution with the Tax Office
  • Able to work in a team environment and support team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill, at the business and technical level
  • Proficient in both oral and written English
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive and career-oriented by nature
  • A team player with strong analytical ability and high motivation
  • Proficient in the use of standard business software.
