A growing firm of accountants, based in Ivybridge undergoing continued expansion and positive growth has a key requirement to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant into their team, as a right hand support to the Director taking on increasing responsibility. Client Details

A very successful firm of accountants, based in Ivybridge having undergone significant growth over the last four years in particular as a combined result of organic client growth and more recent acquisitions, having bolstered the firms turnover and gross recurring fees through the addition of a further firm of accountants in the region. The firm acts for wide ranging clients across the tourist sector, estate agents, farming, IT consultants and IFAs and other wide ranging clients across small sole traders, rental properties, tax return clients at the smaller end, through to local family owned businesses across varied industries and turnovers into the £millions on larger clients. The firm is embracing all the changes with the profession, positioning itself to take full advantage of this and set for future ongoing growth. Therefore the position offers the chance for the right professional to join at a key time in the firms development, offering the chance to carve an influential and leading position as the firms develops.

Description

Joining as a Senior Accountant you will carve a right hand support role to the firms Director, taking on increasing responsibility, practice management involvement and influence as you develop a pivotal role in the firms future direction and growth. You will have a hands on role here, delivering the range of accountancy practice services to a mixed and varied client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited company, owner managed business across wide ranging turnovers and industry sectors. You will prepare and review accounts, tax and other services, managing the delivery of wider bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT and MTD and online software advice and queries to varied clients, working alongside a team of technicians/trainee accountants. You will be able to play a role developing and helping more junior members. As you develop in the firm and role you will take on increasing responsibility, working as a No 2 go to support for the Director with a clear progression path on offer as you develop and carve a career within this successful firm of accountants.

Profile

You may be any of AAT, ACA, ACCA qualified, or have developed your career to date through experience only. You will be able to demonstrate a career background and history of working within the accountancy practice sector with anything from at least three to four years experience of preparing accounts, tax and wider services to wide ranging sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. You will have developed your career within accountancy firms of any size and will be operating around the Senior Accountant or Manager levels. You will be looking to take your career to the next stage within a firm and role where you can truly carve an influential and key position within a growing, forward moving firm of accountants, with a clear progression path on offer for those with the appetite and desire to progress.

Job Offer
