Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant based in Leeds City Centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with transactional finance experience to take on a more senior role.
The role is predominantly transactional finance based although does involves small elements of management accounts.
The client is an SME and so suits those wanting to work in a company where they are given more responsibility than working in a large corporate MNE.

As the Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for:
Carrying out VAT returns.
Resolving client queries as and when they arise.
Inputting of Profit/Loss invoices.
Loan reconciliations.
PAYE reconciliations.
Daily CASS reconciliations.
Supporting with the management accounts process on the month end process, accruals, pre payments and journals.
Dealing with supplier queries.
Filing of Confirmation statements.
Intercompany reconciliations.
Credit Control
Aspects of the Sales Ledger process

The ideal candidate will have:
Strong computer skills.
Ambitions to really progress and develop within accounts.
Excellent communication skills.
A willingness to learn and develop.
Great organisation skills.
