AVP - Group Financial Control-Payments

Roles and Responsibilities:

Manage Accounts Payable (AP) which includes processing of vendor payments and staff reimbursable expenses
Manage the Oracle AP, Internet Expense and Fixed Asset systems
Manage monthly closing of AP system to facilitate the month-end closing of financial accounts
Manage billing and settlement of intercompany charges with subsidiaries and overseas branches
Ensure accuracy and speed in daily processing
Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of AP general ledger account reconciliation and the preparation of AP related reports
Ensure compliance with filing and archival requirements
Respond to questions and concerns to meet business needs
Develop, implement and maintain systems and procedures to facilitate AP functions
Assists in project work including system implementation and new business and regulatory requirements impacting AP functions
Initiates process improvement activities
Train, supervise and develop the AP officers
Build good relationships with business counterparts in the Bank

Qualifications
Requirements:

A degree in accounting or finance-related education preferred
2 - 5 years of relevant experience in AP, AR and other administrative areas
Include several years in a supervisory position
Good experience in handling Oracle or similar AP system
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Strong interpersonal, communication and supervisory skills in handling a team
Strong analytical and problem solving skills to facilitate the daily operations
Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize operations and project work
Polytechnic graduates and degree holders in non-finance education with good and relevant experience will be considered too.
