Job role
• Manage the tax risks and support in the tax optimization for the Chinese joint ventures (JVs) from the shareholder perspective, in order to secure Daimler's tax position- Monitoring and supporting in organizing the documents for fee remittance to foreign DAI service provider- Managing and supporting JVs in negotiating with the tax authorities in tax assessments and tax audits to assure best tax position;
- Constantly monitoring the China and international tax regulation progress to ensure timely react on the impacts to JVs tax practice, providing JVs with instant regulatory updates and impact analysis, and providing/organizing tax training;
- Leading to collaborate with and report to the HQ tax in relation to any significant JVs tax issues;
• Manage daily tax operations for truck Chinese entities to achieve both tax compliance and tax optimization, including:- Supervising the monthly/yearly tax closing;
- Supervising the monthly/yearly tax filing and tax payments;
- Constantly monitoring/supervising the tax benefit application/registration process to ensure tax beneficiary treatments are properly achieved;
- Supervising the tax clearance for payments to DAG, other DAI overseas companies and third party overseas vendors;
- Communicating with the business units for tax registration of cross-border non-trade purchase agreement and managing such tax registrations;
• Advise on the Chinese tax issues to truck BU, including but not limited to:- Actively involving in the business operations and new business models to assure tax compliance and tax optimization;
- Identifying tax risks and providing/implementing the solutions;
- Reviewing and signing off of the contracts to control the tax risk and assure the best tax position;
- Solving daily tax issues raised by F&C and business units;
- Coordinating with and report to the HQ tax in relation to any international tax issues;
• Provide the general support in guidelines, regulatory changes and tax implications to China HR in respect of the Individual Income Tax (IIT), including:- Supporting local HR in defining the guidelines relating to IIT;
- Supporting HR to understand the China IIT regulation changes which may impact the HR IIT related operations;
- Supporting local HR in negotiation with tax bureau in tax assessments and tax audits to assure the best tax position;
• Management of assigned staff, including: - Creating the conditions for collaboration and common responsibility for achieving results;
- Delegating and matching tasks with staff, encouraging staff to take challenges and creating opportunities for staff to develop and produce the advantage;
- Motivating and establishing process of continuous learning and the improvement and delivery of top performance;
QualificationEducation:Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, tax, legal or equivalent;
Mater degree preferred.Experience:- At least 8-year experience in both tax/transfer pricing compliance and tax/transfer pricing advisory. International taxation experience is required. Strong Chinese taxation skill. Reputable accounting/tax firm experience is necessary. MNCs' tax experience preferred. - Adapt to the multicultural working environment. - Managerial skill is required. Project leading experience is necessary.- Good communication and negotiation skill. Team work spirit.- Good analytical skill. Proactive work attitude and result-driven.Specific knowledge:- Solid accounting knowledge- Legal knowledge preferred- Fluent spoken and written English
