My Client offers a dynamic, end-to-end property management process to support international property investors seeking to build wealth through smart real estate investment.
Headquartered in Hong Kong and with operations in London, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and Berlin. They are looking to move their accounts team to London from Hong Kong and need an experienced Head of Accounts to help build a reliable team.
As the Head of Finance you will become part of the management team, working closely with the Managing Director, Operations Director and other Directors in the business. You will manage 1 Client Accountant and 1 Accounts Assistant. Your main responsibilities will be Corporate Accounts and to oversee Client Accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare timely and accurate balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis
- Assist with monthly variance analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts for management review
- Prepare and submit quarterly GST/VAT returns
- Responsible for annual statutory audits of companies
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls
- Managing the client account department and all of its functions, ensuring clients and suppliers are paid accurately and on time
- Daily reporting of all cash receipts into the client account
- Collecting and reporting tax for overseas Landlords, ensure tax isn't deducted on approved Landlords
- Quarterly returns to HMRC
- Performing daily bank reconciliations
- Preparing monthly and quarterly client statements
- Accurately raising pre tenancy charges for tenants and Landlords
- Daily Landlord and supplier payments.
- Being responsible for all letting and management fees raised
- Weekly reporting of all agent fees
- Making any ad hoc payments from the client account
- Handling queries from clients, tenants, suppliers and staff as and when they arrive in a timely manor
- Arranging payments for all deposit returns
- Final check on all new tenancies
- Credit control, ensuring all rent and fee arrears are kept to a minimum
- Managing Variations to contracts, Renewals and leavers.
- Produce tenant statements if needed.
- Produce tax reports when requested.
- Produce Income and expenditure reports for landlords when requested,
- Produce various reports including Tax, cash book and ledger reports
- Monthly Reports on future income and commission clawbacks
For this role I'm looking for somebody with the following skills and past experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant disciplines with professional qualifications
- Previous management experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably gained in sizable companies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
- Experience with Xero and Qube SLM
- Residential client account experience
