Michael Page are pleased to be working with a growing SME in Wakefield to recruit a Financial Controller.
Client Details
Our client are a specialist manufacturing business who have been in operation for almost 40 years.
They work with a number of large blue chip organisations and are well known in their field for consistently driving product innovation.
After recent investment from a private equity partner they have secured investment for further NPD and development of the team, and are looking for a Financial Controller to join the business.
Description
The role will report into the Finance Director and manage a small transactional team.
The FD is part time, so you will often be the number 1 in Finance on site and as such be involved in SMT meetings and be expected to business partner effectively.
Responsibilities will include;
Providing clear and meaningful financial analysis and advice to the Financial Director and Board to support management decision making
Reviewing and presenting monthly management accounts; including reporting on the company's trading and financial position within agreed timescales.
Preparing annual financial budgets for board approval including: profit and loss; balance sheet; and cash flow
Organising working capital finance and cash flow forecasting
To participate as a key member of the business's management team to support business growth
Responsible for reporting financial performance including all relevantKPI's
Maintenance and development of the costing system to ensure that product costs are accurate
To provide data, information, guidance and support to all business functions
Lead an ERP systems implementation (from a Finance perspective)
Responsibility for overseeing HR and IT administration
Prepare business models to assess investment decisions
Developing processes and procedures to ensure strong controls are in place for audit compliance and being responsible for the annual audit process
Profile
You must have previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment to be suitable for this role.
Also, an Accounting qualification is essential (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) along with previous experience of managing a team and owning a P&L.
