Description
The Finance Assistant will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure a smooth finance function, with duties including:
- Assist with the production of monthly management and annual accounts.
- Assist in preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, posting accruals, prepayments journals etc.
- Processing of invoices, supplier payments, dealing with queries and confirming creditors due for payment.
- Processing of expense claims.
- Manage electronic filing systems.
- Monthly and quarterly generation of electricity bills and reconciliation of feed-in-tariff statement.
- Assist in the resolution of finance related queries, both internal and external.
Profile
The successful Finance Assistant will have:
- Previous experience of working in a busy office environment.
- Experience dealing with large volumes of data within a finance team.
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
- Ability to respond to sudden requests for information.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Qualified to AAT Level 2 and be looking to complete the qualification
Job Offer
The successful candidate can expect to earn a salary around £21,000 with an AAT study package plus 25 days holiday.
