Manager of Market Oversight
Location: London
Are you committed to helping us regulate health and social care within England?
The market oversight scheme, started 6 April 2015, is a national scheme run by CQC. Its core purpose is to protect people using care services, their families and carers from the anxiety and distress that may be caused by the failure of a major care provider.
We are looking for individuals who are caring, demonstrate integrity, work great as part of a team and always strive for excellence in everything they do to help us make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and we encourage care services to improve.
Let us tell you a little bit about the role....
Market Oversight tracks the financial sustainability of the largest care home and home care providers in England, which collectively account for over £6 billion in annual turnover and almost one-third of the market.
This role requires an individual with financial and business analytical acumen skilled in the management of complex stakeholder relationships. You will assume a varied and vital remit which involves liaising and building relationships with decision makers leading a wide range of well-known corporate and charitable care organisations. Moreover, the successful candidate will also contribute to CQC’s growing profile within Government and its role in shaping public policy as the independent voice of the health and social care sector.
What we're looking for from you...
You will be required to have an extensive background in financial accounting, with a focus on cash flow, liquidity and financial performance. It is highly desirable that the successful candidate also holds experience in restructuring/insolvency.
You will understand what it takes to work in a complex, fast paced and challenging environment and have strong reporting skills, excellent relationship management skills and ideally some knowledge of the adult social care market. This combined with experience of handling confidential and commercially sensitive information will make you a strong candidate for this role.
If you're interested and think this is the perfect job for you, we look forward to hearing from you!
