What You'll Do:

You will be responsible for the full production of the monthly management pack, supervising month end close and the preparation of the financial statements and year end schedules. You will also drive continuous improvement and seek innovative solutions to complex issues across both the Accounting function and wider organisation.

Duties within the role include:

Reporting & Control:
  • Producing the monthly management accounts pack including profit and loss, balance sheet and commentary to strict deadlines;
  • Variance analysis for both revenue and costs through liaison with Sales and Operations teams;
  • Maintain the balance sheet and the reconciliation of all accounts;
  • Production of intercompany reconciliation, agreement of charges and reporting;
  • Monitoring actual costs and margin against budgeted costs;
  • Supervise month end close, assisting with the completion of the invoicing and banking transactions, and posting relevant journals;
  • Preparation of budget and forecast schedules ready for board review;
  • Preparation of the Financial statements and year end schedules ready for audit;
  • Prepare the Cash flow reporting and forecasting weekly;
  • Assist developing KPI reports with the Business Analyst including comprehensive sales, purchases and lead all

Business Support/System Enhancements/Team Development:
  • To drive continuous improvement and seek innovative solutions to complete issues and manual, time-consuming tasks across both the Accounting function and wider organisation
  • Continually looking at ways of improving policies and procedures through working closely with internal departments, looking at ways to improve the sales order fulfilment process, and continuous assessment of the ERP system to improve, and expand, on its functionality
  • Oversee all aspects of stocktakes and creation of new products
  • Support the FC to develop the transactional finance team and build capabilities.

What You'll Bring:
  • Qualified CIMA/ACCA with relevant degree/recognised qualification
  • Ambitious, driven and focused finance professional with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent communication skills and track record of engagement with, and support of colleagues across the business
  • A highly organised and proactive approach to work
  • Commercially sound with a strong understanding of business process and control
  • Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel
  • A strong understanding of IFRS/UK GAAP
  • FMCG, Manufacturing and/or Distribution background
