We are currently looking for a Leasing & Fixed Asset Accountant for a client based in Cork.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day Fixed Asset Accounting for International entities.
- Check completeness and accuracy of fixed asset subledger and month-end closing activities.
- Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries and adjustments.
- Monitor a system of controls, policies and procedures for the recording of fixed assets.
- Co-ordinate periodic physical inventory counts of fixed assets and identify items for disposal
- Initiate periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets and investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets
- Manage day-to-day Lease Accounting for International entities.
- Responsible for supporting the timely and accurate review and posting of month end close and accounting transactions related to leasing; P&L and balance sheet account analysis, review, reconciliation & resolution
- Consistently maintain appropriate internal controls and uphold company policies & procedures.
- Support Internal and External Audits.
Requirements and experience:
- A qualified Accountant with Big 4 experience.
- Degree in accounting or equivalent preferred and 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Good working knowledge of Oracle or similar integrated software product.
- Exposure to and in-depth knowledge of US GAAP Accounting policies.
- Must be proficient in managing and analyzing large data sets.
- Results focused with ability to work independently.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst ensuring accuracy.
- Proactive, adaptable and flexible.
