Description

Joining as Accountant / Senior you will work closely with partners and look to initially have a hands on role, looking to become responsible for managing a portfolio of clients ranging from small to medium-sized limited companies to partnerships, sole traders and personal tax clients over time, as you develop within this firm and role. You will provide and oversee a quality service and delivery of bookkeeping and VAT returns, accounts preparation (Digita) and tax compliance. You will also have the potential to develop skills, or build on your existing experience with Xero, becoming an internal expert on this and assisting with the continuing roll-out of Xero to current and future clients, including the introduction of related applications. You will also have opportunity to work on wide project work, perhaps assisting on Business acquisitions and sales, with involvement in helping on due diligence and financial modelling work. There could also be scope for involvement on the audit process with some of the firms larger and not for profit clients, with the potential to learn and develop skills on this side, for those without existing audit experience, This is a progressive opportunity to join a well-respected practice offering a friendly, professional, modern, open plan working environment, together with a competitive salary/package and study support is offered.

Profile

You will be any of - AAT qualified, with significant accountancy practice experience and/or part qualified/finalist/qualified ACA/ACCA. Or purely experienced, with at least 4 - 5 years or more experience, gained within the accountancy practice sector, working for a small, medium or large firm of chartered accountants, with significant experience in accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Experience of audit and other services would be a bonus but not essential. You will be looking for a role offering client contact, responsibility and the opportunity to carve a key role, within a small firm environment, where you can add value to both clients and the firm. You will have a strong background within practice with the ability to prepare a set of accounts from Sage, Xero (or similar) and manual books and records.


Job Offer
