Description

This role is accountable for the management of the Finance ERP System across the whole organisation.

You will ensure that all systems data, hierarchies, cost centres, GL codes, delegated authorities and supplier and customer details are maintained in line with business requirements as well as managing the periodic processing of critical financial interfaces and ledger closures along with any associated systems procedures and processes.

In addition to this you will also manage the service contract and ensure that best value is achieved at all times and agreed service levels are met. You will also be the collaborative link between Finance, IT and supplier to ensure implications of change are effectively communicated and impacts assessed & fully understood, providing guidance, direction & training to the business on the use of Finance ERP System and ensure that the organisation achieves the best possible return on its investment in technology.

Profile

In an ideal world candidates will be fully qualified accountants ( ACA / CIMA / CIPFA / ACCA ) but this organisation recognise that the best systems accountant might have moved into the role and focussed more on staying on top of the latest systems trends rather than passing accountancy exams. With this in mind candidates with strong systems accounting experience would be also very relevant for this position, even if not fully qualified.

What is non negotiable is a high level of financial accounting systems experience coupled with excellent customer service skills to influence & persuade.

Successful candidates should also be able to demonstrate systems implementation or management. Experience of Open Accounts would be extremely useful.

Job Offer

A salary of c£40,000 - 45,000 depending upon relevant experience
