JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Act as an advisor and executor for Initial Public Offering (IPO) including oversight in the preparation of prospectus and Management's Discussion and Analysis (MDNA).
- Act as a strategic business partner to senior management leadership team.
- Provide financial insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plan of organization.
- Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare, present and report accurate and timely financial information for each company within the group on a monthly basis in accordance to Malaysia Financial Reporting Standard (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS).
- Responsible for corporate taxation planning and supervise all banking and taxation matters of the company.
- Directs and oversee all aspects of corporate finance and accounts of the company.
- Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation.
- Oversees financial performance by measuring and analysing results, initiating corrective actions, minimizing impact of variance.
- Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss by division, forecast vs. budget by division and weekly cash flow by division.
- Review and analyse monthly financial results and provide recommendations.
- Responsible for securing and negotiating optimal structures with financial institutions for funding trade or cash management activities.
- Heads in Corporate exercise, fund raising and liaising with investors/bankers/lawyers.
- Manage to compilation of information and the slides preparation for bankers/investors.
- Maintain adequate working capital requirements for each company in the group.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and fund managers.
- Perform cash flow modelling, projections/forecasting, simulations and valuation of business for existing or new business.
- Prepare annual budgets for each business unit which includes capex, opex and investment requirements for approval.
- Prepare and execute a Group Financial Plan.
- Prepare a Financial Strategy for approval.
- Calculate and review Financial Feasibility such as Payback Period, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Net Present Value (NPV) for new projects.
- Conduct research works for the purpose of business plan, forecast and investment evaluation.
- Interpret key business metrics and translate into meaningful information for presentation to GCEO.
- Challenge business functions targets and underlying assumptions in financial forecast.
- Work with business functions to identify, evaluate business and financial data and propose value added solutions.
- Identify business controls and processes and recommend controls or process improvement to address them.
- Analyse and streamline processes to become more efficient and cost effective from a business perspective.
- Contribute to the creation of effective new business processes and/or systems and identify the impact of process changes on other business processes and systems.
- Minimum Finance Degree with CPA or ACCA is preferred.
- Member of a professional accounting body would be an added advantage.
- At least 15 years total accounting or Corporate Finance with at least 10 years related experience in large, corporate, public listed company.
- Deep understanding in process of IPO in Malaysia and surrounding regions.
- Outstanding knowledge and understanding of GAAP, MFRS and IFRS reporting.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence - ability to motivate staff.
- Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues.
- This position is based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
