The Institutional domain will deliver full end-to-end world class products and services to our global Institutional, Corporate and Commercial and Retail customers across Asia. It will incorporate capabilities across areas of Investment Banking, Trading and Sales, Cash Management, Wholesale Lending and Trade Finance.

The Institutional domain will enable our Institutional business partners and customers through providing stable, scalable, innovative and leading technology platforms and solutions which focus on great customer and banker experience, operational excellence and future ready technology - aligning focus on business strategic outcomes and high value technology practices.

You will be part of building a world class Digital bank for corporate and institutional clients focusing on an Omni Channel customer experience, advanced customer analytics and insights, centralised registration management and digital identity solutions.

We have an opening for Platform Engineer role supporting the evolution of the Omni Channel assets in providing an integrated and seamless digital experience for Institutional customers and bankers.

What will be in your toolkit?

• Hands-on experience with designing and updating infrastructure architecture for platforms with complex layers of integration with other services and systems
  
• Demonstrated experience in rapidly picking up new technologies and troubleshooting issues
  
• Demonstrated ability to triage application, integration and infrastructure issues
  
• Strong hands on experience with CI/CD automation tools e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo
  
• Hands on experience with IBM UCD or other deployment tools
  
• Strong hands on experience with Docker and orchestration platforms Openshift or Kubernetes
  
• Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning for compute and data storage
  
• Experience with distributed source control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket)
  
• Strong administration experience of Linux and/or Solaris servers
  
• Good shell scripting and SQL experience
  
• Strong application server knowledge, preferably with WebSphere Liberty and/or Tomcat
  
• Strong experience managing messaging application e.g. IBM MQ
  
• Understanding of networking concepts
  
• Knowledge of at least one programing language (e.g. Groovy, Java)
  
• Passion for automation and DevOps
  

What might a day in the life look like?

• Design solutions that can meet current and future business/customer needs.
  
• Pro-actively identify solutions that best support the cost effective maintenance and growth of the platforms in our TA into the future.
  
• Work collaboratively with the business and technology partners to Ensure infra build designs are of high quality and meet business and customer expectations
  
• Provide technical input into strategic plans for technology products and services to improve the capability, quality and performance of systems
  
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve stability and robust performance of Tech Area platforms.
  
• Participation in agile ceremonies (spring planning, story estimation, retrospectives, etc)
  
• Take part in troubleshooting for service recovery
  
• Provide ongoing platform support as required
  
• Enable continuous delivery practices to increase delivery speed
  
• Work in collaborative teams to build innovative solutions
  
• Implements a culture within the Tribe and the Chapter, encouraging best practices around reviews, quality and documentation
