Payments Team Leader
If you are an experienced Team Leader, then we have the perfect opportunity for you to join us within Macquarie's Banking and Financial Services Group.
Our Payments Team forms part of the broader Banking Operations team, which provides administrative processing support to clients, advisers and internal customers, completes domestic and international payments across a range of mediums and liaises with stakeholders and other financial institutions.
As Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising the team, ensuring workflow queues are managed and work is actioned within agreed cut-off times. You would also be responsible for handling escalations as well as ensuring queries are responded to in an efficient and effective way that delivers a quality outcome for the client.
You will empower your team to work in a culture of continuous improvement and you will drive implementation of initiatives to ensure operational functions are scalable and efficient. Driving change is integral, you will be responsible for reporting of operational errors and acting for resolution.
Not only are you a team leader, but also a coach and mentor for your staff, to actively identify future team leaders, subject matter experts and work to develop all the team's skills and client delivery. Your communication skills are key, working with internal and external stakeholders as well as communicating effectively with your team.
You will use your 2 to 3 years of management experience, and in-depth knowledge of payment mechanisms to effectively take control of this role. Your strong interpersonal skills will allow you to adapt to the new environment and manage the team effectively from the start, combined with your high attention to detail, problem solving skills and numerical aptitude, making you a perfect fit for this operational environment.
