The role of the management accountant is to produce key financial reports for the largest site within the business. This role combines attention to detail, effective communication and leadership. As the main point of contact for the site, this role involves an element of business partnering, making commercial awareness a key characteristic of the successful candidate.

Aiming to support their stores though marketing, IT, business development and strategic management. My client is keen to build a team of confident and capable finance professionals, to grow with the business as they continue to succeed within their industry.
Description
Based in Chesterfield, the responsibilities of the Management Accountant include;
- Accurate coverage of accounting functions, including reporting, producing monthly business accounts and periodic sales budgets and forecasts
- Daily management of the company's cash flow
- Assisting, and covering when necessary, the Finance Controller when required
- Producing and consolidating forecasts in order to provide clarity on expected financial performance
- Production of both the quarterly VAT and periodic ONS returns
- Assisting with the communication of information for both the internal and external audits
- Provide the relevant financial support to various operation departments within the company
Profile
The successful candidate for this Management Accountant role must:
- Have excellent verbal, numerical and analytic skills, with a strong technical knowledge of finance
- Be confident in communicating information to non- financial members of the team, as well as being able to positively influence others
- Possess strong IT skills including; MS Office and financial systems (Sage 200 preferred but not essential)
- Be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant
- Have a solutions-focused attitude towards problem solving and competing priorities
