With seven locations (USDA meat plant and restaurants), we're looking for an accounting manager to provide financial information that will assist management in making educated economic operational decisions. The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing all accounting systems across seven locations – meat production and restaurants – at Olympia Provisions. This role serves as a consultant for managers within the organization, advising them on budgets and fiscal strategy that aligns with the goals of the organization. The role encompasses day to day controllership duties as well as involvement on various project–based initiatives. The candidate should expect to leverage current skill sets while also focusing on learning quickly and adding value to current processes. Essential Functions Operate and supervise the accounting procedures of the company Be responsible for the implementation of policies, systems, controls of major importance; document internal controls Advise management on matters of fiscal procedure and importance for the organization Process payroll, reconcile accounts, oversee AR/AP, and other accounting duties Manage the monthly close process and reconciliations Review portions of the balance sheet and income statement Perform daily general ledger operations for the financial statement processes Collaborate with various teams during system implementations and special initiatives Ensure compliance with the financial procedures of the organization Perform special, ad–hoc projects in Accounting/Finance as requested Competencies Financial Management Collaboration Skills Ethical Conduct Thoroughness Supervisory Responsibility The Senior Accountant supervises an Accounting Clerk and also serves as a coach and mentor for management Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full–time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed. Travel Weekly travel to and from restaurant locations Required Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience plus three years of accounting experience CPA designation Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from management to accomplish objectives and deadlines Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills – must have significant experience in Microsoft and Google applications and Quickbooks Accounting research and problem–solving skills required Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; flexibility toward the competing priorities of a growing business Highly detail oriented and ability to multitask is a valuable asset Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills – must have significant experience in Microsoft and Google applications and Quickbooks
