Advise international assignees and their employers on Australian tax issues impacting the international assignment or cross border move.

What will your typical day look like?
You will work as part of the Deloitte Global Employer Services (GES) practice and provide advice to international assignees about the Australian tax implications of their assignments as well as assist them in complying with their Australian tax filing obligations. You will also work with corporate clients and assist them with respect to the Australian tax issues arising in respect of their global mobility program.

Deloitte will provide continual on the job training and a mixture of different clients to work with, giving you exposure to a range of issues and opportunities to build client relationships. You will be part of a wider team, working together with our global network of mobility tax specialists.

Combining tax research and data analytics, we give advice on global compensation, visa and work permits, employment taxes and policy design for international assignments.

You are someone with

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you will be conducting tax consultations for inbound and outbound assignees as well as liaising with corporate clients
  • Solid Australian tax knowledge in all areas impacting mobility tax including Australian personal income tax, tax residency, capital gains tax, foreign income tax credits, employee share schemes, rental income, superannuation and other Australian employment tax obligations
  • Ability to handle a large volume of work, working across numerous multinational clients in various industries
  • Strong in project management, multi-tasking, prioritisation, responsiveness, delegation
  • Passionate about training, developing and coaching junior staff members
  • An eagerness and commitment to expand your focus and become a broader advisory professional across all areas of global mobility.

The minimum salary offered for this position is $75,000 including 9.5% superannuation
