Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for being objective and strategic financial partners, leading collaborative cross–functional effort to drive relevant, flexible and efficient financial planning and analysis that supports our key business decisions.
  • Analyzes business trends
  • leads and aligns financial forecasts and long range planning processes with our business leaders. Drives business value by providing financial and analytical counsel to facilitate decision–marking around strategic business initiatives.
  • Prepares monthly financial reporting including variance and financial statement analysis. Able to clearly communicate a cohesive and concise story around business drivers behind financial data and potential implications on future results.
  • Creates financial models and scenarios as a key input for business planning decisions in areas such as capital deployment, sourcing, product development, marketing strategies, and acquisitions.
  • Manages annual budget processes, incorporating business initiatives, economic trends and operational effectiveness. Aligns budget to business strategies and gains alignment from business partners.
  • Performs customer and product profitability analysis and makes investment and pricing decisions. Identifies opportunities to drive revenue growth, margin expansion and a more favorable mix (i.e., driving preferred products and services).
  • Understands market dynamics and competitors. Conducts complex analysis, synthesizes and summarizes implications to business, influencing business partners using analytics and business understanding.
  • Identifies and executes upon process improvement opportunities. Demonstrates proficiency of technical tools and financial systems.
  • Serves as an objective financial steward with an enterprise perspective, safeguarding our company's assets. Ensures strong controls are in place and the company's intellectual property is protected.
Sr. Financial Analyst, OEM/Functional Support
As part of the Global Manufacturing & Supply Chain finance team, this role will be responsible for the support of the OEM commercial team, reporting to the Manager of GMSC Functional Support. This role?s primary responsibility will be leading all aspects of OEM sales reporting and forecasting, analyzing customer data to gather insight on sales trends, and understanding potential risks and opportunities to future sales estimates. They will also support all expense management for the OEM team and will be responsible for all budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis on a monthly basis.? This will include leading weekly/monthly meetings with OEM business partners and helping to ensure understanding of results and any variances to support effective decision making across the OEM and GMSC Functional Support teams.? This role will also support the GMSC COE Functional Support team for month–end activities, including journal entries, reporting, variance analysis and reforecasting monthly.
The Sr. Financial Analyst is expected to be already located in Mansfield, MA area, or to be considering and willing to relocate to this location.

Accountabilities in Role

? Partner with OEM business partners to complete cost center budgeting, forecasting, and any ad hoc analysis required.
? Lead all month end close activities and reporting for the OEM segment, ensuring all monthly results are reported accurately and in a timely manner.?
? Present & review monthly expense results with OEM business leaders, providing variance analysis and commentary to aid business partners in understanding variance drivers.?
? Provide financial support for month end close activities related to GMSC divisional cost centers including journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, etc.
? Lead efforts for continuous improvement of financial packages and deliverables.
? Responsible for compliance and accuracy in cost center financial results, ensuring adherence to all GAAP and SEC requirements
? Manage multiple deliverables and deadlines concurrently.
? Work on ad hoc requests and initiatives as required by leadership

  • Bachelors degree in business related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years experience in related field
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to interact with senior leadership
  • Adaptability and flexibility in balancing multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Good teamwork skills and effective with all levels of management and across functional areas
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office – Excel (pivot tables, v–lookup, multiple embedded formulas) and PowerPoint; Access is a plus
  • Experience supporting sales organizations a plus
  • Strong knowledge of SAP & Hyperion Financial Management a plus
