The Role Responsibilities

This position within the Treasury Balance Sheet Management & Optimization Team provides a great opportunity for a self-driven individual with outstanding analytical skills to support bank-wide balance sheet optimization initiatives covering Retail, Private Bank, Lending, Transaction Banking, Financial Markets and Corporate Finance businesses. This role will support the delivery of the team's goals and objectives around building MI to support asset optimisation as well as the execution of the Global Booking Model Framework.
  • Support the implementation and operationalisation of enhanced management tools: asset pricing frameworks and dashboards.
  • Support the review and implementation of the Global Booking Model Framework across all existing and new booking channels.
  • Assist in the development of policy effectiveness reviews and support the roll out to the different booking channels.
  • Assist in the development of appropriate MI tools to strengthen visibility & governance around the bank's asset strategy and booking models.
  • Drive engagement with business / segment / COO / risk stakeholders to ensure alignment with the team's various optimisation initiatives.
  • Support ad-hoc MI requirements; presentations; committee updates (GCLO, OBSC, GALCO, ALCO, etc), business analytics; reports, trend as required.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • At least 5-8 years in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong academic record at bachelor or master degree level in business, economics, finance, financial engineering or related field from a well-recognized institution
  • Keen learner profile with an interest in the commercial banking or global market business
  • Proven strategic and analytical skills with a strong appetite for finding facts and offering solutions
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong cross-cultural awareness
  • Proven ability to interact with multiple functions / levels and to coordinate deliverables from various inputs under tight deadlines
  • Track record of working in a very organized way, multi-tasking, prioritising, managing data, and setting and achieving deadlines (both short and long term)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Delivery of high quality work, in a limited amount of time
  • Pragmatic approach to achieving the objectives set, able to flex an approach as needed
  • Enthusiasm, drive and ability to work in a very fast paced high performance team
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness to work with a range of people from diverse background and geographies
