Our client is a highly regarded, global financial services firm with strong corporate advisory, investing and fund management businesses in Australia and abroad. The firm has seen an opportunity in the market to originate and execute direct equity investments into major, ASX-listed companies by leveraging off of its quality corporate advisory franchise. In this regard, they are looking for an entrepreneurial Senior Associate or Vice President to work alongside the Managing Director in originating and executing corporate advisory mandates that will present significant opportunities for the team to invest directly.
This is a hands on role that will see you participate in origination efforts alongside senior team members, managing the execution of transactions, including oversight of client/adviser relationships, financial modelling & documentation; develop strong knowledge of industry and corporate activity and using this knowledge to contribute to both M&A and other investment-related ideas. This is also seen as a leadership role and you will have the opportunity to lead and mentor juniors in the team.
Candidates should have a proven track record of working within M&A / corporate finance from either an investment bank, lender, independent corporate advisory firm or Big 4 CA firm and bring a minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience. You will need to show a desire to continue executing M&A advisory mandates and an entrepreneurial flair that will allow you to turn these into investing opportunities for the team.
This is a growing, global initiative for the firm which is fully supported by the board. The opportunity to raise third party capital at some stage is very real.
Applicants must have full Australian working rights in place to be considered for this opportunity.
