The Global Controller Operations Team is a key part of Oracles World Class Finance organisation. This progressive and innovative team comprises a dynamic group of approximately 100 financial professionals based in Dublin, responsible for Oracles revenue accounting, internal management reporting, business analysis, external statutory reporting, US & local compliance, as well as mergers and acquisitions. Director EMEA Tax Compliance Based in Oracles Dublin office, reporting to EMEA Tax Compliance Senior Director, the Director EMEA Tax Compliance will be responsible for the EMEA Oracle and Acquired Entities direct tax compliance and provision. This incorporates manage and coordinate internal and external resources to implement company tax savings strategies, review of Returns, consolidation of the regional tax provision, review of the Transfer Pricing transactions and ad hoc income tax advice to the business. RESPONSIBILITIES Review of Corporation Tax Returns, generally prepared by external advisors, for the EMEA entities to submit for EMEA Tax Compliance Senior Directors approval, and insure timely submission. Review and, when required, prepare provision to return Review and, when required, prepare the quarterly income tax provision Review tax provision notes prepared by the external advisors and sign off on any tax matter reported in the local subsidiaries Financials. Analyze the correctness of the Transfer Pricing booking for the region, as well as provide the necessary facts/data in order to complete the local TP documentation Provide calculation and explain Transfer Pricing position to Finance and Tax Audit Team as well as external Auditors. Review and, when required, prepare the analysis of FIN48 for standard and non standard provisions Ad hoc income tax compliance requirement for acquired and dissolving entities Provide support to internal tax audit, M&A and Planning teams QUALIFICATIONS Qualified Taxation professional from Big 4 background. Minimum 5-6 years post qualification experience, ideally in a technology organization Demonstrated leadership and project management skills Pan European Tax Compliance experience Good level of Transfer Pricing experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to be self-driven and identify opportunities for improvements Knowledge Excel at expert level Easter European or Arabic language preferred Dynamic, innovative & problem resolution focused ORACLE IS A CIMA AND ACCA APPROVED EMPLOYER Detailed Description and Job Requirements Manage and coordinate internal and external resources to implement company tax savings strategies. Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns. Manages a professional staff. Be an integral partner in Oracle's business decisions to enhance shareholder value by providing tax-related advice globally to all business units. Develop and implement systems to compile information for various federal, state, local, and international reports. Represent the company on tax matters in government, professional, and industry associations. Performs or directs research; analysis and interpretation of federal, state, and local statutes. Manages and oversees international tax laws and regulations. May be involved with tax implications of mergers and acquisitions. Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Maintain current knowledge of all tax laws affecting Oracle. Strong business and tax technical skills needed. Detail oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. Ability to work with outside advisors. Experience with computer tax systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated leadership and project management skills. Experience in public accounting firm and/or high technology industry. BA/BS in Accounting or Finance. CPA and or MS/MBA tax preferred.
