Broad Functions:
The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for providing tax expertise to the company, including tax compliance, accounting, research, strategy, and audit process. Ensure compliance with the local jurisdictions income tax filing, withholding tax maintenance, and tax audits. Conducts internal audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Performs estimations, analysis, planning, and research and oversee audits.
  2. Administering tax audits and adhering to tax regulations.
  3. Investigating new tax laws and developments
  4. Identifying issues that may arise in tax dealings.
  5. Reconciling and calculating income tax accounts and payments.
  6. Organizing quarterly and annual income tax provisions.
  7. Forecasting quarterly tax rate
  8. Prepares federal, state, local and special tax returns by collecting, analyzing, and formatting financial information.
  9. Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  10. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
  11. Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  12. Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
  13. Identifies and resolves audit findings and all formal issues of non–compliance
  14. Prepares and distributes compliance reports to directors and executives as needed.
  15. Responsible for auditing files and procedures to ensure compliance with state tax regulations.
  16. During audits, reviews and resolves all matters of non–compliance.
  17. Liaisons with various regulatory agencies and constituencies.
  18. Performs internal audits for multiple purposes, including the identification of fraud, wasteful spending, and mismanagement of funds.
