- Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax filing and SST returns, CRS, CBCR and other applicable returns to the Regulators. Ensure all tax related reports and deliverables are in compliance with Local/Group and/or international accounting and taxation standards, statutory regulations and any other financial related requirements;
- Prepare and/or review monthly tax calculations and manage tax provision and tax compliance process. Review deferred tax provision and tax estimates - for Local and Group reporting;
- Ensure proper review and governance control on outsourced tax functions to service providers and handles TP review and documentation;
- To prepare relevant disclosures for annual Financial Statement for Local and Group purposes;
- To prepare tax budget for Local and Group purposes;
- Lead and coordinate tax-driven business initiatives driven locally or regionally (e.g. CRS, CBCR, TP etc.). Act as the key point of contact and support for Local and Group taxation matters;
- Establish and ensure proper control and documentation in place for audit purposes for tax related matters or queries. Lead and liaise with tax authorities, tax agents and provide tax audit support for the Company to Group;
- Assist in implementing process improvements and support innovation to increase accuracy, minimize risk or realize efficiencies e.g. ledger differences on tax related accounts;
- Identify and mitigate tax risks. Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices. Provide internal tax advisory services and support on business operation matters. Where necessary, to represent the Company in industry discussions on tax related matters.
- Identify and maximize tax planning opportunities.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as advised by his superior / the Head of Finance to support various Finance functions.
Requirements : -
- Relevant Degree or Professional Qualification from Professional Accounting Bodies such as ACCA, CIMA, MIA, CPA, ICAEW
- 5 to 10 years working experience in public accounting firm and/or handling corporate tax and GST
- Technically strong with solid knowledge and experience in Malaysian corporate tax compliance and GST
- Experience in tax strategy implementation, planning support and projectmanagement will be advantageous
- Familiar with local best practices, relating to audit, taxation, accounting, local and international standards and relevant Acts and Regulations
