My client are a retail organisation and a household brand, seeking an experienced Management Accountant on a 12 month contract basis to oversee a maternity cover within the team. The contract is for a minimum of 12 months but with the distinct possibility of a further extension.

The client are an exciting household brand, with sales depots across the South West and a busy head office function based in Avonmouth, Bristol. You will be a major component of a tight-knit finance function, with lots of responsibility across management accounts and business partnering.
Description
- Full ownership of the monthly management accounts
- Subsequent commentary and review with Financial Controller
- Assisting with presentation of the Management Accounts to departmental heads.
- Preparation and review of Cash flow and funding commitments
- Authorising purchase ledger invoices for central related overheads & challenging price increases to assist with control of overheads
- Review weekly payroll prior to submission
- Provide up to date information on debt, highlighting problematic & overdue debts & escalate accordingly
- Prepare monthly commission & bonuses in line with individual commission/bonus schemes
- Ensure warranty processes & controls are in place in order for claims to be submitted correctly
Profile
- CIMA/ACCA part-qualified, or QBE
- Able to 'hit the ground running'
- Significant experience in owning the management accounts
- Ideally experience in a smaller finance team, e
- Strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to adapt communication style to suit the audience and convey a clear message.
- Fantastic organisation skills, enabling you to manage your workload, prioritising effectively to meet deadlines
Job Offer
This role will pay a highly competitive basic salary of £30-40,000 (although the candidate will need to demonstrate significant relevant experience to reach the £35-40k bracket). Also on offer is the stability of a longer-term contract which will add real value to your CV.
