Group Internal Audit Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Internal Audit Manager to join this leading Finance team in the Midlands.

Client Details

This is a superb opportunity for an Internal Audit Manager who wants to take their career to the next level and has experience working in a large, fast paced environment. You will be responsible for auditing multiple sites in the group and reporting to the Head of Internal Audit. You will ensure group policies are being followed and provide assurance that the company is identifying and managing key business risks and setting appropriate action plans. You will identify and drive best practice and efficiency in processes and controls across the Group. You will work alongside the Internal Controls Manager to provide assurance that systems of internal financial controls are operating effectively. You will also ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial and management information and recommend improvements appropriately.

Description

Key Accountabilities include:
To plan and deliver financial audits in accordance with agreed plan (Balance Sheet Audits)
Identifying and evaluating the significance of non-compliance with Group policies and procedures.
To deliver, on a continual improvement basis, the audit program and audit approach.
Communicating key audit issues.
Accountable for producing management reports, identifying and agreeing audit recommendations improvements.
Review and follow-up of recommendation implementation by site as per agreed deadlines
Involvement in group risk management processes

Profile

Qualified accountant with substantial experience. Either currently working in external audit in practice or trained in external audit and now working in an internal audit role but looking for that step up.
Experience auditing balance sheets (i.e. external audit experience).
Hands on experience of audit covering a multi-site group.
Team leadership.

Job Offer

Up to 60k basic + car + bonus + benefits.
