Job Summary :
Overall management of the Finance & Accounts Department. Additionally, management of the company's IT systems within the Finance and Accounts Department is also expected.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Management
- Lead the finance and accounting organization and ensure that all daily operations and projects are consistent with Brenntag's strategy, vision, mission and values.
- Contribute to the strategic planning process and overall decision making.
- Review and analyze the organization's financial performance and present findings and recommendations to local and regional management.
- Operational Management
- Manage all day-to-day operations in the finance and accounts department, including credit control, collection, reporting, tax, treasury and insurance.
- Prepare the company's monthly accounts, forecasts, annual budget and 3-year plans and ensure that accounts and budgets/forecasts are prepared and reported in accordance with local accounting standards and as required by the company's overseas parent.
- Setup and maintain adequate control systems and procedures, including liaison with internal customers to ensure that proper implementation is done. This also includes compliance with local laws and regulations (including revenue codes and accounting standards), group and regional policies and procedures and ethical standards.
- Employ and retain efficient staff in the finance and accounts department, this includes coaching and staff development.
- Handle all company secretarial duties. Liaise with relevant external parties (local authorities, auditors, insurers, etc.)
- Ensure accurate and timely internal and external reporting.
- Maintain effective IT systems within the finance and accounts department.
- Maintain an effective credit control system.
Job Requirement/Specification:
- Education : Bachelor Degree in Finance & Accounting CPA, ACCA or equivalent
- Experience : Minimum of 8 years' experience, preferably a multinational Company/distribution plus managerial skills for 3 years. Audit background & SAP working experience will be added advantage.
- Others: SAP knowledge and Excel tools.
