1) Providing Accounting, Finance and Payroll services to a wide range of clients ranging from small local firms to MNCs.
2) One of the largest share registrar in Singapore. It acts as a share registrar or share transfer agent for over half of the companies listed on the SGX-ST. It is also a leader in providing corporate secretarial services to both public listed and private companies.
3) Asia Pacific regional set-up in 4 countries/regions – mainly Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
Responsibility
Business / Management Activity
• Provide strategic financial leadership for Tax and Business Services Spore/ Malaysia/HK.
• Use key business indicators, processes and management system to drive business results performance against goals.
• Build strategic client relationship with existing /potential clients to generate pipeline of leads.
• Drive business development and new business growth in partnership with Sales / Marketing Team to convert leads to closed sales.
• Promote business alliance with 3rd Party service providers and vendors for win-win business collaboration.
• Lead, evaluate and execute Shared Services Business Model for Accounts / Payroll.
• Collaborate with IT Team on new IT initiatives for innovation and productivity improvement, new / enhanced software development and support for successful implementation of IT projects.
• Review and negotiate the existing / new Service Level Agreements and service fee.
Specific Activity
• Oversee the preparation of BBS Group annual budget and monitor actual performance vs budget.
• Oversee local and regional operation efficiencies based on best practices.
• Ensure compliance to SOPs and regulatory updates.
• Liaise with Sales/Marketing Team on sales activities from prospective clients, fee proposal, meeting clients’ requirements to closed sales.
• Execute client service excellence at all times to response to clients’ requirements.
• Oversee credit control management, regular review, responsible for debts collection and work with Finance to manage doubtful debts.
People Management Activity
• Build effective teams by promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork among departments and across global organizational boundaries.
• Provide leadership coaching and develop talents for career advancement.
• Strategize effective manpower planning and efficient manpower utilization.
• Develop and inspire a motivated team to be client-centric with competent people skills to engage with clients, response to clients in timely and efficient manner.
• Coach team members to set standard client communication protocol e.g. all communication with clients are supported by emails, document agreed action steps, responsibilities and deadlines.
• Develop business continuity plan for critical roles / functions to ensure leadership excellence.
• Foster close communication with all managers and lead the regular operation meeting.
• Evaluate direct reports and review overall employees’ performance appraisal during the annual review exercise for BBS local and regional.
Qualification and Other Requirements
Years of Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of professional accounting experience in managerial / senior management capacity.
• Experience in driving business strategy, deliver bottom-line results and execute operational excellence across regions.
• Experience in leading and manage a team of about 60 – 80 members including regional.
• Experience in project management, cost and expenses management.
• Extensive working knowledge of IFRS, company listing requirements and rules, Statement of Audit Standards and Professional Practices Framework of the IIA is an advantage.
• Experience working with IT staff to manage Finance /Accounting Software packages.
Education:
• Fully qualified Accountant CPA / CA qualified or Accountancy Degree from reputable university
• Additional MBA degree would be advantageous
