Associate Director, Portfolio Lead - Regulatory Change
An excellent opportunity for you to join the Project Management Operations team as an experienced Portfolio leader within Macquarie's Financial Management Group supporting regulatory change within the team.
As an experienced Portfolio Lead, you will manage the program of work supporting work to deliver regulatory change across the Financial Management Group on all project streams. Examples of program involvement includes SACCR, Large Exposures, EFS and other regulatory reporting regulations which must be managed across the different business units. You will develop the function to become more responsive to increased amounts of regulatory change and you will mentor and coach all Project Managers delivering on Regulatory Change projects in your team. You will utilise your excellent leadership skills by managing the career development and learning opportunities for the Project Managers in the portfolio. Key responsibilities include project initiation, scoping, project team proposals and business case pitching to sponsors and governance forums. You will showcase your skills across a wide range of senior stakeholders and influence end-to-end project and work stream management, manage cross functional relationships at the executive level and take ownership of key client engagements at a global level. You will lead a team of around 25 staff with a total budget in this portfolio of about $25 Million.
Your technical skills and qualifications will include being project or program management qualified (Prince 2, PMP, SAFE Agile, etc.) In addition, you will also have agile accreditation and ideally experience being an agile coach with a proven track record managing project teams. A deep understanding of regulatory requirements and change is not required but will be highly regarded. Experience working for a large, financial services organisation and demonstrated experience as a strong people leader is required. An understanding of complex system architecture and data flows will ensure success in this role. You will have proven experience managing projects to a strict timeline and budget and have the ability to persuade and influence senior leadership forums. You will motivate and lead the project team by leading and influencing the project stakeholders confidently.
