The Senior Financial Analyst–(Financial Reporting) will be responsible for the preparation and filing of monthly and/or quarterly regulatory reports required by various federal and local agencies (FDIC, Federal Reserve, OCIF, etc). The Senior Financial Analyst–(Financial Reporting) will also be responsible, as requested, for the preparation of the financial tables that accompany Oriental's quarterly press releases of financial results, and also of the financial statements, 10Q and 10K reports in accordance with GAAP and the requirements of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepares and timely files monthly and/or quarterly regulatory reports required by various federal and local agencies.
  • Develops the financial tables that accompany Oriental's quarterly press releases of financial results.
  • Provides primary support in the preparation of Oriental's financial statements, as well as forms 10Q and 10K, as required by the SEC.
  • Utilizes system resources to extract and organize relevant business information for purposes of analysis and/or inclusion in financial reports.
  • Performs moderately complex statistical, cost and financial analysis of financial reports and data, and prepares subsequent narrative analysis for management.
  • Provides technical analytical support by researching and analyzing industry specific benchmarks and best practices in the financial/accounting reporting function.
  • Utilizes Microsoft Office, financial software and other related project management tools for the preparation of financial reports.
  • Performs ad hoc financial analysis on a proactive basis and as requested.
  • Supervise the work of financial analysts, as required.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • At least four (4) years of relevant experience as an analyst or higher in financial reporting or related fields.
  • Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
  • Computer skills in the use of Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook, Internet Tools and other operative programs.
  • Analytical, problem solving, organized, detail oriented and able to multitask.
  • Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial budgeting and analysis forecasting.
