A well-established accountancy practice based Bolton are looking for a Payroll Clerk to their growing team on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that has an outstanding reputation!
Client Details
The accountancy practice have a number of offices, they offer employees the opportunity to develop their skills with them both professional and personally. The successful payroll clerk will be joining a team of 8 and will be liaising with clients and will be liaising with clients via phone and e-mail, processing payrolls and investigating and resolving queries.
Description
Payroll Clerk duties include:
- Managing client payrolls with multiple payroll processes
- Setting up and processing pensions (auto-enrolment)
- End to end payroll processing
- Investigating and resolving queries
- Processing starters and leavers
- Processing statutory payments, advising employees on payments
- Processing SSP, SMP, sick pay, holiday pay, bonus deductions
- Tax and NI calculations
- Using SAGE payroll to import/export data, draw reports and generate payslips
- Reconciling payrolls for month and year end
- Ensuring payroll legislation is fully adhered to
- Compiling and sending weekly RTI information
Profile
The successful candidate will be/have:
- Previous experience of working in payroll
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Possess an excellent telephone manner
- Be available immediately or at short notice
