As Finance Manager you will lead a small team and oversee their development. You will be required to provide management accounting to the largest are of the business.

My client is a market leading Logistics business. Based in Brentford at their head office they have a great working environment and have operations globally.

Description

The Finance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Recording transactions across the P&L and Balance sheet, whilst performing full balance reconciliations monthly
  • Reconciling key control accounts as part of the monthly close
  • Manage accounting processes and the month end close
  • Preparing monthly commentaries
  • Identifying potential improvements in their finance function
  • Partner with other Finance and operational colleagues
  • Preparation of the annual budget and forecasts in collaboration with FP&A
  • Assist and support the Financial Controller as required
  • Develop a team of Management Accountants

    • Profile

    The successful candidates will be:

      • A qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
      • Demonstrated capability in managing accounting team and a practical understanding of contemporary people management practices
      • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
      • Experience in SUN/Oracle will be advantageous
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in preparing reports and presentations
      • Team player
