An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Finance to join an award winning, highly established national retail organisation. As the Head of Finance, you will hold numerous responsibilities, including but not limited to: ensuring the business meets its statutory obligations and is operating to the highest standards across all areas of Finance, providing excellent finance and management support to all department managers, providing accurate and timely financial information to the business and ensuring solid accounting practices.

What you will do:
- Set and monitor of budgets, forecasts, cash flow analysis, management, financial accounts and advice.
- Lead the commercial budget and forecasting process; supporting department managers with the preparation of their submissions.
- Deliver accurate analysis of business performance across all departments, identifying issues, opportunities and actions.
- Implement a cycle of rolling forecasts.
- Develop and lead a 5-year long planning process.
- Prepare month end management reports and hold monthly budget holder meetings for each area, sharing cost analysis with managers with your team.
- Engage with department managers, lead the Finance team, support the COO and play a key role in the Senior Leaders Team.
- Be responsible for all statutory reporting, compliance, annual accounts and VAT.
- Manage the annual audit process.
- Construct business models to aid management and development of the business.
Person Specification:
- Be a fully qualified management accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
- Possess a successful track record of achievement working in a similar role, with experience of working in a complex organisation where you have implemented new systems and approaches.
- Hold a strong commercial awareness
- Have an expert working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint, being able to manipulate, analyse and model large volumes of data and identify key issues.
- Have an excellent attention to detail and the highest professional standards, with a great work ethic and strong communication skills.
