Chase and Holland are currently working exclusively on behalf of a well-known SME business with their Head Office based near Selby, who is looking for a progressive Financial Controller to join their senior management team. This is a fast paced, ever changing business who offer excellent working conditions and are easily accessible from Selby, Leeds, Goole, Howden and Doncaster.
Financial Controller Responsibilities:
This role reports into the Managing Director, offers you the opportunity to support in driving business strategy and will involve;
Key Requirements and Preferences:
The successful candidate will be a commercially astute, driven and hands on Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with extensive financial management experience. You will be energetic, enthusiastic and be a proven man manager.
Strong MS Excel skills are important, alongside good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels and with non finance.

Financial Controller Responsibilities:
This role reports into the Managing Director, offers you the opportunity to support in driving business strategy and will involve;
- Undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation
- Development of internal control policies and procedures
- Financial risk management
- Take ultimate responsibility for the company’s cash management, forecasting and policies
- Oversee the preparation of financial accounts
- Lead the annual budgeting process in line with the business plan
- Provide on-going financial modelling and analysis to support the development of long term strategic initiatives and business plan
- Oversee business financial management, determine areas for improvement and take lead on implementing change
- Oversee the External Audit, review and analyse results and recommend for approval the Audited Financial Statements
- Lead, mentor and develop the finance team
