Global Financial Controller

This is a pivotal role for a large INGO, who are looking for a technically strong financial accountant to lead a high performing team and oversee the financial operations function for the charity, working closely with the Director of Finance on of financial strategy.

The Financial Controller will report to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for overseeing the production of the full statutory accounts for the charity and its commercial trading subsidiary. Leading a team of accountants (two qualified) the Financial Controller will take on global oversight of the financial accounting, payroll and treasury functions. This position will take a lead on implementing and updating controls as necessary across the organisation and will indirectly manage a number of regional finance staff to help standardise procedures across international sites.

The ideal candidate will have a strong financial accounting background, ideally from audit. This position would suit a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIFPA) who can confidently manage a team and who has a strong technical skillset. Good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels and communicate complex financial information to non-finance partners.
