There is a large French and European client base of varied client sectors and turnovers ranging from £1-£500 million. You will be lisaing with clients on a daily basis and enjoy an international and diverse corporate client base including technology, pharmaceutical and retail. You should be able to communicate clearly, and if you can speak fluent French that is a huge added bonus as some clients will communicate in French.

Description

The successful Senior Accountant will be/have:

  • Preparation of financial statements under FRS102 and FRS101
  • Financial standards and CA06 compliance checks
  • Managing a portfolio of clients
  • Maintenance / review of client records, sales and purchase invoice controls, receipts and payment anaylsis, bank reconciliations and VAT reconciliations
  • Preparation of accurate management accounts to be completed in a timely manner and in line with set schedules
  • VAT Review, preparation and submission for client VAT returns
  • Liase with clients and answer queries and issues
  • Review and supervise trainees in the team

    • Profile

  • Fully Qualified (ACA or ACCA)
  • 3 years experience within an accountancy practice
  • Significant statutory accounts experience
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Experience using sage line 50, sage accounts and production and IRIS accounts production
  • Payroll experience will be helpful
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Great time management and be able to multi-task
  • Be a strong team player
