Orka Financial is currently partnering with a large, reputable organisation, based in Reading that is looking to recruit a Group Financial Accountant. The role reports into the Financial Controller and manages a small team. The Group Financial Accountant has responsibility for;
The Group Financial Accountant will be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA or CIMA) with strong technical financial accounting experience. This could suit someone with a practice background and has a couple of years industry experience. Any team management experience would be desirable. This is a great opportunity and offers a fantastic working environment/culture. The organisation operates a 35-hour working week with flexibility with regards to working hours. There is an extremely competitive pension on offer and over 30 days holiday.
- Overseeing the preparation and presentation of the financial statements, including UK entities
- Coordination of the strategic report, accounts, owning the consolidation and ensuring compliance with the current SORP and statutory reporting requirements
- Ensuring all fixed asset accounting and reporting is accurately and efficiently produced
- Liaising closely with the Financial Planning and Strategy team in the production of management and other reports.
- Liaising with external auditors, ensuring the smooth planning and coordination of the year end process
- Manage and develop the team to ensure they are fully trained and developed.
