This Finance Analyst role is based in Cambridge with a leading Consultancy company who are in need of someone to provide accurate reporting, financial analysis and management information to the business to aid in the formation of strategy. A business partnering role offering great flexibility and potentially a reduced working week for the right individual as the added value is key for them.

My client are based in Cambridge and have a great reputation in the Consultancy sector for providing sound and timely advice to their customers. Similar high expectations have led to the requirement of an Finance Analyst who will be supported and encouraged by the management team but also given autonomy and ownership over their work with a key focus on adding commercial value through financial analysis.

Description

This Finance analyst role included the following duties and responsibilities;

  • Analysis of month end results
  • Input and prepare journals and reconciliations
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Ensure financial standards and policies are upheld through the accounting process and wherever financial data is concerned
  • Financial and operational business partnering - providing information and detailed analysis with commentary and recommendations
  • Analysis and create KPI reporting
  • Management information creating
  • Maintain and update costing models
  • Assist the procurement team in monitoring and reporting on contracts spend and costs
  • Profile

    This Finance Analyst position will require and mix of the following experience, attributes and characteristics

  • Experience in a similar financial analysis and business partnering focused role for ideally 2 years minimum
  • Greta communication skills
  • Reporting and analysis capabilities
  • Strong Microsoft excel capabilities
  • Ability to budget and plan with operational and financial teams
  • Ability to work proactively and independently
  • Actively studying ACCA/CIMA
