Financial accountant, global family office

Our client is a global family office in London. They are now looking to add a Financial Accountant to their team. The role will look after the accounts of several companies in the group, and have responsibility for the following: Financial statements (Balance sheet, Income Statement. Statement of Changes in Equity and Cash Flow statement) should be prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) as adopted by the European Union (EU) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) as issued by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). · Compile and analyse financial information (trial balance, statement of movements on accounts) and prepare financial statements for the company on a quarterly and annual basis within required deadlines. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close · Monthly closing of financial records for the company and monthly reconciliations. Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. · Maintaining and accounting for financial assets portfolio including shares and bonds. Accounting for coupons on bonds and dividends on shares. Reconciliation of accounting records with Bloomberg reports. · Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures. · Preparation of materials for the audit of financial statements and communication with the auditors. · Ensure accurate and appropriate accounting, recording and analysis of income and expenses. · Proper file of all documents (bank statements, confirmation statements of purchases/sales, statements from Funds, loan agreements, invoices etc.). Education and Experience · accounting degree or equivalent; ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA · knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles · knowledge of economic principles · knowledge of auditing practices and principles · knowledge and experience of accounting software ·
