This position is located at the Group Head Office in based in Palmerstown Dublin 20 with an immediate start available.
Responsibilities:
- Matching and checking delivery dockets to invoices
- Posting of invoices to accounting system once they have been signed off/agreed by manager, using stock codes or nominal codes as instructed
- Posting of bank payments/lodgements to accounting system and allocating payments against invoices
- Creating cheque payments/direct debit books
- Performing bank reconciliations, current and deposit accounts
- Ensuring supplier balances are accurate & agreed to supplier statements at the end of each month
- Ensuring all intercompany creditor and debtor balances are agreed and paid the following month
- Dealing directly with FC & TL regarding payments to suppliers
- Making payments to supplier by way of bank transfer or cheque, on instruction from FC & TL (if applicable)
- Complete creditors clerk checklists to ensure all tasks have been completed. Any issues completed to resolution
- Price checking goods based on the prices per invoice and prices per accounting system. Any variances to be noted to SA & TL and issues completed to resolution
- Reviewing the price differences each month & reporting any discrepancies in prices to stock/purchasing department
- Follow up any price differences with your designated supplier
- Liaising with SA and TL regarding any issues that may arise on a day to day basis
- Providing cover for reception, during lunch breaks, holidays etc.
- Preparing ad hoc reports/duties as they arise
Person Specification:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organised
- Customer focused to ensure that queries are dealt with in a friendly, professional and efficient manner at all times.
