A broad number one accounting role in a fast-paced growing SME business. Duties will be varied and will include management of a small team.
Our client is a growing SME manufacturing business with offices in the Portsmouth and London areas
Key responsibilities will include:
Ensuring the prompt and accurate production of monthly Management Accounts, and managing the general day to day running of the accounts department, including banking, VAT, Intrastat, EC sales listing and Pension returns
Providing detailed analysis of production performance
Maintaining Personnel records and managing the production of standard personnel documentation
Helping to maintain the running of IT hardware and software used by the office staff
Responsibility for the maintenance of standard costings and support the annual price list
The successful candidate will:
Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent; candidates who are qualified by experience may also be considered)
Demonstrate experience of working in a comparable, broad SME Finance role, with a 'hands on' approach
Ideally have previous manufacturing sector experience and an understanding of stock accounting
Show a genuine interest in the sector and business
Sage 200 experience is advantageous but not essential
