Reed Finance are detailed to have been retained on an exclusive basis to recruit a Finance Director for an international FMCG.

Reporting into the Managing Director, this is a hands on position and involves working at both a strategic and business partner level.

Applicants will have proven experience in operating at this level including providing strategic and financial guidance to ensure that the company's financial commitments are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing all necessary policies and procedures to ensure sound financial management and control of the company’s business
  • Creating a solid foundation upon which the business can grow
  • Direct, lead and manage the finance team
  • Develop and control the company’s annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are met and financial and statutory regulations complied with
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to senior stakeholders
  • Oversee the preparation and production of accounts and financial reporting
  • Monitor and control intercompany charges;
  • Develop and implement an internal audit programme
  • Monitor commercial contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively and provide the best value to the company;
  • Participate in tender processes and ensure costing and financial information is accurate
  • Challenge areas including costs, purchases, investments, efficiencies etc.
  • Company Secretarial responsibilities

Applicants will hold the following attributes:
  • A team player who is energetic, inquisitive and who gets involved in all aspects of the business
  • Ideally fully CIMA or ACCA qualified, however extensive experience, in a similar very senior financial role, will be considered
  • Advanced working knowledge of SAP
  • A good financial analyst, along with an exceptional level of attention to detail;
  • Sound track record in people management experience and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinking skills
