Business Analyst Transition
Location: Reading, Oxford, Perth or Glasgow
Salary: GBP39,413 – GBP52,055 (SS08) depending on skills and experience
Permanent| Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available | 37 hours per week
The Energy Networks Association (ENA) Open Networks Project is focussed on defining the Distribution Network Operators (DNO) transition to a Distribution System Operator (DSO) model and has been endorsed by the UK Government's Smart Systems and Flexibility Plan. SSEN's TRANSITION Project will help progress this change by developing and demonstrating a "Proof of Concept" Neutral Market Facilitator (NMF) Platform to test the operation of the market models being produced.
You'll lead activities with stakeholders to clarify requirements, plan implementation and resolve queries through the development process. You'll lead on the complex business analysis required on the TRANSITION project and ensure that all workstreams progress in a timely manner, towards the common goal. With responsibility for IT data security, you'll ensure that rules and practices are identified and carry out in depth scoping exercises during the early stages of work packages to identify key areas of concern and determine a clear direction, continually monitoring work package progress. You'll also prepare succinct reports and communications on complex business processes and progression that are tailored to different situations and audiences.
Your Skills and Experience
With experience from a similar project role in supporting business critical systems in a large organisation, you should have the ability to handle complex problems and develop with novel solutions. You'll have a good knowledge of relevant business analytical tools and techniques alongside excellent analysis and knowledge transfer skills.
You'll accurately visualise and clearly articulate proposed solutions to business problems while taking a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving. A lateral thinker with the ability to ask open questions, consider all options & make informed decisions, you'll possess excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others.
