Manager Business Intelligence & Reporting

The institution has a large and well-established shared services function who provide client centric and innovative services to the University as a whole. Within this resides the Business Intelligence & Reporting (BIR) team, which is responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of high quality services, covering the full array of domains such as students, teaching and learning, research and corporate functions, across the organisation.

The Manager, Data Engagement, Reporting is a key role within the BIR Team. Reporting directly to the Director, this role has responsibility for strategically planning and executing the delivery of actionable data and reporting to key University decision makers, and includes functions such as;

• Working with senior stakeholders to define and plan their data and information requirements, and to assist in creating organisation wide reporting and decision making rhythms;
• Managing the subsequent delivery of data and reporting outcomes to support these agreed requirements;
• Influencing the sequencing, content and delivery approach of the various data delivery projects being undertaken by the University and its partners;
• Leading and coordinating the accurate and timely delivery of key University surveys and data submissions;
• Managing the organisation’s data engagement function with the aim of increasing the uptake of centralised data, increasing the level of data literacy amongst the stakeholder groups and driving standardisation of metrics and reporting.

Operating under broad direction and within a complex landscape, the role will require an experienced and highly motivated individual who displays a significant degree of leadership and initiative and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Degree qualified with a consulting background preferred, you will have significant experience in delivering capability in business intelligence, analytics and reporting, preferably in a large and complex organisation with multiple stakeholders. You are naturally driven with a passion for business excellence and continuous improvement, with proven ability to engage, influence and drive business outcomes.
