We are an established Multi-Purpose Co-operative Society Limited, dealing primarily in water supply and sales. We are looking for a skilled Accounts Clerk to perform a variety of accounting, book keeping and financial tasks.
  • Minimum Qualification: Diploma
  • Experience Level: Entry level
  • Experience Length: 1 year


Job Description

The holder of this position will be expected to perform the following tasks:-

  1. Responsible for accounting support to accounts section.
  2. Keys daily worksheets to the general ledger system.
  3. Must be fully conversant in procurement procedures/process as prescribed in public procurement act
  4. ensures files are complete and maintained as needed by the board of management
  5. Handles accounts payable duties and assists accounting personnel.
  6. Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting section
  7. Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
  8. Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
  9. Reconcile client accounts/payments in a timely manner.
  10. Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database.
  11. Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws.


Qualifications

  • Diploma in Accounts clerks or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in co-operative society book keeping and accounting system/software packages.
  • Proficiency in financial data analysis Proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • At least 1-year experience will be an added advantage
  • Possess a high degree of professional ethics & personal integrity
  • The candidate must be hardworking, flexible & service oriented
  • Proficiency in use of computer applications.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Certificate of good conduct certificate
