Numerator is looking to grow its Finance team in its Chicago headquarters by hiring another Staff Accountant. This individual should be able to efficiently multi-task as this position works cross-functionally within the organization.

Responsibilities:


  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries and document business transactions

  • Prepare monthly amortization of intangible assets and depreciation of fixed assets

  • Prepare intercompany invoices and related journal entries

  • Preparation of monthly remittance calculations

  • Upload monthly payroll entries into the general ledger

  • Perform monthly T&E expense audit and accruals

  • Reconcile weekly cash sheet and monthly bank statements

  • Responsible for the monthly close of the company's financial statements

  • Work with other departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

  • Prepare supporting documentation and analytical information for external auditors

  • Perform monthly TDS calculations and quarterly advance tax calculations

  • Preparation of monthly GST-1 & 3B report and assist in compiling GST annual return and audit requirements

  • Verification of employee reimbursements

  • Maintain the reconciliation of -

  • Intercompany receivable/ payable

  • Accounts payable

  • Bank account

  • Fixed asset register ensures all asset additions and their life of assets are inline as per company's Act, asset disposal accounting, etc.

  • GST refund reconciliation (2A report Vs GST receivable as per books)

Assist in special projects as needed


  • Bachelor 's degree in Accounting and at least 3-4 year of accounting experience (or bachelor's degree in Accounting program and strong internship experience)

  • Proficient in MS Excel

  • Well versed with Tally, experience working on Oracle NetSuite will be plus

  • Familiarity with accounting terminology and procedures

  • Good time management skills; ability to multi-task and meet critical deadlines

  • Takes ownership of their assigned responsibilities

  • High knowledge of GAAP principles
